Day 1

KAMPALA

KAMPALA

Kampala, Uganda's vibrant capital, merges modernity with rich culture. Its bustling markets, historical sites like Kasubi Tombs, and Uganda Museum depict the nation's history.

The city's street life buzzes with boda-bodas (motorcycle taxis) weaving through traffic, alongside matatus (minibusses) blaring music.

The city's diverse dining, lively nightlife, and artistic fervor reflect Uganda's essence. Kampala thrives as a dynamic hub, harmonizing tradition and progress, embodying Uganda's soul.

Arrival in Kampala and transfer to Kampala Serena for overnight stay.

KIBALE FOREST

KIBALE FOREST

Kibale Forest National Park, Uganda, spans 700 sq km of dense rainforest, famed for its diverse primates, especially habituated chimpanzees. It's a premier spot for thrilling chimpanzee trekking and houses 12 other primate species alongside rich avian and butterfly life. Travel Kampala to Kibale Forest

Head west after breakfast through Mubende arriving in Fort Portal for lunch. The drive is approximately 6 hours in duration.

Later proceed to enjoy an afternoon guided walk inthe vanilla plantation, and walk around the crater lake.

Ndali Lodge - Chalet

Ndali Lodge - Chalet (2 nights)

Ndali Lodge is nestled on an extinct volcano's edge, now Lake Nyinambuga in Uganda's Bunyaruguru Crater Field. This rustic haven offers an intimate atmosphere, boasting a homely vibe maintained by locally trained staff from nearby villages.

The lodge hosts various activities, including guided walks around the vast farm and trips to the Mahoma Waterfall. Guests can enjoy birdwatching, butterfly spotting, and primate sightings during these excursions. Additionally, a two-person inflatable kayak is available for further exploration on the lake. CHIMPANZEE TREK

CHIMPANZEE TREK

After breakfast start a half day search of the cheeky chimpanzees in the forest, also look out for the Red Colobus (anendemic species only found in this forest in Uganda).
Other primates include the Chimpanzee as well as Grey Cheeked Mangabey.
In the afternoon, take a swamp walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary for a closer to nature encounter.

BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in southwest Uganda is a UNESCO site famed for protecting endangered mountain gorillas. This ancient rainforest offers thrilling gorilla trekking experiences amid dense vegetation and rugged terrain. Home to diverse wildlife and unique flora, it also shares the heritage of the Batwa pygmies, providing cultural insights into their traditional forest lifestyle. This biodiverse sanctuary harmonizes thrilling encounters with gorillas, stunning landscapes, and cultural immersion, making it an extraordinary destination for nature and culture enthusiasts alike.

Today travel to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with picnic lunches. The travel time is around 6 hours.

Drive through the Ishasha Plains the area famous for its tree climbing Lions.

Arrive at Buhoma Lodge and relax before dinner.

GORILLA TREK IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

During your time in Uganda you will enjoy two gorilla treks, to find different gorilla families.
Walk with the rangers and trackers through the thick and steep vegetation to track the Gorillas. After viewing the gorillas, have your picnic lunch and return to Buhoma Lodge

Travel Bwindi to Kampala

Take a scenic & long drive to Kampala, around 9 - 10 hours, through the mountainous area of Kigezi and the Ankole area with its Long Horned cattle. Overnight at Kampala Serena Hotel
